Puebla

Puebla is a city which is located beside the several volcano which confers on this city a charm exceptional, Popocatépetl, Ixtacihualtl and Malinche. It is located at the South of Mexico City with a population of 750 000 inhabitants to 2167 meters of altitude.

This city was founded into 1531 after many combat with the expeditionary French body of Lorencez which was finally crushed by the Mexicans directed by the Zaragoza General on May 5, 1862 (feastday inMexico). Puebla was occuped by the French troops of the Forey Marshal in 1863. Puebla was selected like significant stage of the visit of the Pope Jean-Paul II in 1979, one calls it even "Rome of Mexico ", in Latin America.

Puebla is also named the pink city due to the color of bricks covering the majority with the frontages in the streets close to Zócalo.
